Who are we?
With 5 years of experience in the industry and having taken part in a gap year program, we noticed many unanswered questions about these programs. As we worked closely with excited individuals who wanted to travel while working, we saw common misunderstandings about gap year programs. These ranged from what they involve to the requirements, and even worries about distinguishing legitimate agencies from potential frauds.
Driven by a desire for clear information, we set out to gather details on different programs. Our approach involved interviewing past participants and agencies operating in this specialized field, ensuring that the information is presented in a clear, accessible manner. The goal of our blog is simple: leave no question unanswered. We’ve put a lot of effort into making sure we cover everything.

Hanlie Au Paired in the USA from 2017-2018. Since returning home she has worked as an agent recruiting Au Pairs to work abroad. She loves advocating for the program as it brought her so much joy. The program allowed Hanlie to grow outside of her comfort zone. With more than 5 years experience in the industry she is passionate about sharing her experience. She is determined to inform individuals about gap year programs across the globe with the hope that it will ignite a passion for travel in others.
